What Your Child Will Learn

• Basic Music Foundations: Children will explore key music concepts such as rhythm, melody, and pitch. They’ll learn how to identify different sounds and how music is structured.
• Self-expression Through Music and Movement: Children will use music, art, and their bodies to express emotions and ideas, helping them build confidence and creativity.
• Coordination and Focus: Through rhythm exercises and movement-based activities, children will improve their motor skills, focus, and attention.
• Music and Emotions: Children will discover how different types of music express various emotions, and how music can make us feel different ways.
• Building Confidence: Through hands-on learning and creative activities, children will grow in confidence and develop their own unique voice.

Programme Structure

Our program is built around key music foundations that develop children’s creativity, coordination, and emotional expression. Each lesson is hands-on, engaging, and designed to help young learners build a strong foundation in music. The activities focus on rhythm, melody, movement, and emotional connection to sound.

1. Rhythm in Motion Children will begin by exploring the fundamental building block of music: rhythm. Through clapping, tapping, and simple instruments, they will learn to follow basic beats, understand timing, and develop coordination. Movement is an essential part of rhythm, so we integrate dancing and body movement to help them internalise the beat.
2. Sound and Story This module helps children connect music with storytelling. Using different instruments, body percussion, and vocal sounds, they will create simple musical patterns that tell a story. This activity encourages children to think about how sound can convey emotion and narrative.
3. Pitch and Play Focused on the exploration of pitch, children will work with various instruments (like shakers, cajon, piano and tambourines etc) to understand high and low sounds. Through interactive games, they will explore the concept of melody and how different pitches form a simple tune.
4. Expressive Movement Children will explore how their bodies can respond to different styles of music. They will learn to move in different ways to reflect emotion and tempo, building coordination while expressing their feelings through dance and movement. This reinforces rhythm while also fostering self-expression.
5. Discovering Harmony Children will explore how different sounds or notes can blend together to create a richer musical experience. This encourages them to listen attentively, experiment with sound, and develop a deeper appreciation for music.
6. Creating Soundscapes This module encourages children to create their own musical landscapes using sound. They’ll experiment with different materials, instruments, and voice to build soundscapes that evoke nature, cities, or fantasy worlds. It’s a fun, creative way to integrate listening skills, teamwork, and imagination.
