    FAQs about Group Guitar Classes

What is the difference between individual guitar lessons and group guitar classes?

Individual guitar lessons focus on personalising your technique, working on specific areas like finger placement, strumming, and chord transitions. Group guitar classes, while still focused on these fundamentals, give you time to practice alongside others. During class, the teacher ensures you get one-on-one guidance while also benefiting from the group practice environment.

Group guitar classes allow you to practice your skills in a dynamic environment while receiving personalised guidance. The teacher spends individual time with each student, helping to address their unique challenges, and the rest of the class is spent practicing. This format offers the best of both worlds – you get feedback and support while also having ample time to practice and grow at your own pace.

Not at all! Our group guitar classes are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced players. Whether you’re just starting or want to refine your skills, you’ll receive personalised feedback during your individual time, and the class structure allows you to progress at your own pace while practicing alongside others.
In a group setting, you’ll have the advantage of receiving personalised individual time with the teacher, while also benefiting from practicing alongside others. The group setting provides additional opportunities to refine your timing and rhythm. The teacher’s one-on-one feedback will help you correct technique issues and improve, while the practice time allows you to solidify what you’ve learned in a collaborative environment.
Our group guitar classes are structured to cater to different skill levels. While you’ll all be working on foundational techniques, the teacher will provide personalised guidance for each student based on their experience level. Beginners may focus on mastering basic chords and strumming, while more advanced students can challenge themselves with more complex exercises or songs. This format ensures everyone progresses at their own pace.

In group guitar classes, we explore a variety of songs and genres, from classic rock to contemporary pop and folk music. These genres provide a great foundation for practicing key techniques while also offering students the opportunity to learn how to play popular songs in a group setting.

No need to prepare anything before your first class! Just bring your guitar, and come as you are!

Your first class will begin with a basic warm-up, and then the teacher will spend individual time with each student to assess their level and provide personalised feedback. The remainder of the class will be practice time, where you can apply the techniques you’ve learned and get more guidance from the teacher as you work.

Our group guitar classes typically have 4-5 participants. This size allows the teacher to give individual feedback while still offering the group dynamic of practicing together. The smaller class size ensures you get personal attention, but also experience the benefits of playing in a group.

Our group guitar classes are priced at $300/month for 12 lessons.

Definitely! We offer trial classes so you can experience how the group dynamic works and see how the teacher’s personalised feedback can help you improve your guitar technique. It’s a great opportunity to determine if our group lessons are a good fit for your learning style.
